Okay so I ended up watching this and having Elementary record on the DVR since dd can watch Elementary.  My thoughts....LOVE Hugh Dancy.  I like how his whole character is written.  For me he is definatly the show.  Now the guy that actually plays Hannibal....he weirds me out which thats what he is suppose to do so that is a good thing.  You can tell there is just something wrong with him, even if we didn't know that he was the bad guy you still know something is wrong with him.

All and all I liked it and find it interesting so I will be recording it next week as well.

I have this on DVR and will watch it soon.

The guy who's Hannibal was the bad guy in Casino Royale (Bond movie).   He was and is verrrry creepy!  lol

Oh man...this is ONE creepy show!  Overall:

  • I liked the show very much and will definitely keep watching.  But, my DH wasn't so thrilled with the "artsy" side of things...those scenes specifically when we're in Will's mind and he sees things like a big elk walking down the hallway.  I get it...and like it...but DH, not so much.
  • HOLY MOLY...I can't think of another actor on television (especially network TV) who is as creepy as Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal).  I was so enthralled by him, I took the time to look him up on IMDB during the episode.  He is fantastic!!   I think it helps that I'd never seen him in anything else...so he's a new delight for me!
  • As much as I am captivated by Hannibal, I agree that Hugh Dancy is the show...but I think it helps greatly to have him balanced by Mads Mikkelsen...perfect casting on both sides!!
  • This show is filmed like a movie...so well done!!  CREEPY, graphic, disturbing, thought-provoking...I will do all I can not to get behind on these episodes because I do not think that I would enjoy watching them one right after the other.  LOL

Good show...I look forward to more!!

I stopped on the new version of "Clash of the Titans" yesterday (I think it was on like TBS) and saw Mads.   I was like "hey!   There's Le Chiffre!".   LOL.

I have never to my knowledge seen him either.  Or maybe he is just really good at switching characters and I have seen him a lot?!?

Oh yes, you need both sides.  I do think with the way they have Hugh's scenes...very simular to Sherlock Holmes but on the graphic/creepy side he probably could be on a show all of his own.  Granted it wouldn't be able to be a murder of the week...it would have to be a long standing case that takes awhile to get thru.

Good show...I look forward to more!!

I watched small snippits of this yesterday and didn't notice him.  I will have to pay better attention next time it's on.
