Who else is watching The Following?  I was four episodes behind until last night; now I'm all caught up!  I thought for sure that I would have horrible dreams last night after our marathon...whew!  (and throw Hannibal on top of that...holy moly...my subconscious was a mess at bedtime!!)

So many tidbits:

The mystery is over...it looks as if Mike is a good guy  He got the crap beat out of him and we haven't seen him since.  It confuses me that we haven't seen him since his fight club night...its finally revealed that he's not a cult member and then he leaves the show.  Hmmm...a bit dissatisfying.

I'm watching this show with my DH, 20yo and 14yo.  We all really like it but when you watch the show one episode right after the other, it is very obvious and very grateing how often they make the same exact mistakes.  We can almost predict with perfect accuracy at the beginning of each episode who will be killed or who will do what.  It reminds me of 24...after years of devouring 24 and being big fans of the show and Keifer...my entire family still jokes about setting a perimeter.  Because in 24, every single time they said "secure the perimeter", the bad guy got away!  LOL  That's how The Following is...they keep walking into the same situations.  But, we still enjoy it...even if we are all yelling at the TV!  LOL

It did surprise us that Molly was a cult member.  Holy crap...what a sick twisted mess THAT is!  And to have Joe sitting there watching the porn video of Ryan and Molly have sex...YUCK, I do not even want my mind to go there!!

I'm an idiot...but when Paul was dying on the couch and he was asking Jacob to kill him...I thought he was asking Jacob to kill his parents!  I didn't get that he wanted Jacob to kill him until the camera pulled back and it showed Jacob with the pillow.  I didn't think killing Paul was that big of a deal...since Paul was obviously dying anyway and there is no way that Jacob would take him to a hospital...so, I didn't think the death scene was that shocking.  BUT, the after death scenes are very frightening...wow!  Jacob is one scary dude now!!  I wish he had hurt Emma more than he did though...she deserves to be slapped around and treated like crap for a bit.

Who else couldn't help but think of Sarah Connor and Terminator when the hunt was on for every Claire Matthews?!  LOL  My family kept making Terminator jokes through that episode.

I'm disappointed that Agent Parker doesn't have a more stable role...she has sort of evolved into this helpless, selfconscious sidekick instead of the strong leader she started out to be.  And although I hate that D.C. stepped in and took over control, I do love Mike Colter (playing Agent Nick Donovan)...oh that man is sooooo beautiful and easy to look at!  He's a sometimes character on The Good Wife and I always love it when he's on.

I think Roderick and Joe are about to have a showdown.  Roderick is sitting on the edge of a meltdown, for sure!

I think Claire's decision to go willingly to Joe was very realistic...I really believe that any mother would have done the same thing, to just want to go to her son and to feel that she has a better chance (whatever that chance may be) if she is there with Joey.

This is one creepy and graphic show...I'm surprised at how far the network has allowed them to go.  Well done...

Dh, dd(only when she is around when we watch this show) and I are still watching.  Ds hasn't been available with all his activities to watch.

So many tidbits:

Mike is back tonight.  They haven't gotten rid of him.

It did surprise us that Molly was a cult member.  Holy crap...what a sick twisted mess THAT is!  And to have Joe sitting there watching the porn video of Ryan and Molly have sex...YUCK, I do not even want my mind to go there!!  We were surprised too.  I also thought it was strange and gross that Joe would be watching them have sex.

Jacob is one scary dude now!!  I wish he had hurt Emma more than he did though...she deserves to be slapped around and treated like crap for a bit.  I agree Emma did deserve to be slapped around more.  That little witch really needs to be put in her place.  Now that Joe has Claire back Emma doesn't have a boy toy to play with.  I was happy that Jacob stood up to her and isn't just following her around like a puppy dog.

I don't quite understand if she is the leading Agent on Cult's why she is so helpless and selfcouscious.  Maybe it's because of her past...maybe it's because her parent's chose the cult and how she grew up that has her acting this way.

I think Roderick and Joe are about to have a showdown.  Roderick is sitting on the edge of a meltdown, for sure!  We agree....they are getting closer you can tell.

This is one creepy and graphic show...I'm surprised at how far the network has allowed them to go.  Well done... I have to say this show hasn't creeped me out like it has other people.  I'm not sure why.  I do think that Criminal Minds has paved the way for a show like this to be on network TV.  Granted now Criminal Minds does not seem as creepy as when it first started but I think when the show first came on to network TV to me creepy/graphic factor it would have beat The Following.  Just personal opinion.

I watched the last 2 episodes over the weekend.  I began watching because I thought the concept was original - not just another procedural & I like Kevin Bacon.  Up until Mike took his beating, I was almost convinced that he was a cult member and that his Ryan hero worship was a cover.  I was wrong.  Is he really off the show?  I just thought he was AWOL recovering from the torture.

I never watched 24, but this show is really not an advertisement for FBI competency.  The country house is surrounded by 3 different agencies and all 3 of the cult members manage to escape.  With their prime hostage?  There were NO roadblocks so they were able to escape by two different routes?  Dumb planning in spades

I was also surprised about Molly although once we learned the extent of the cult I really shouldn't have been.  After all Joe never made it a secret about his fascination with Ryan and we knew that he had stalked Claire & Joey through members of his cult.  Even Ryan should be thinking about his past associates with people who were close to him and that he didn't know before Joe was sent to prison.

You are not an idiot; I thought Paul was telling Jacob to murder his parents also.

Sarah Connor came immediately to mind, just like you.

I'm surprised that they aren't using Parker's cult expertise more.  She's not getting to provide much useful input at all.

And yes, Roderick doesn't like being replaced as the head honcho.  I don't know what he expected to happen when Joe came "home".  Something is definitely going to happen between him and Joe.

I wasn't surprised by Claire's decision at all.  After all she slipped away once before to try to go to the cult to get her son.
