Baby list

Df and I have been talking about things we need for baby. He wants to make a list. Problem is this is his first child and I havent had a baby in 7 yrs. I feel like I am starting over.

I dont really remember everything I need and I would love if you ladies could refresh my memory a little. I know the obvious like carseat, crib, diapers, etc.

Also I would like you tell me about any baby gear that is actually worth the money and not ridiculous. When I had my first child I was young and he mainly just had what was needed.
Thanks

I loved my Moby or the Beco Butterfly was nice too. I have both!

I think the crib was a waste of money for me.

Diaper bag or back pack was great too.

This. Were sticking with things we need only. We bought tons of stuff that was suppose to make life easy and never used any of it.

Moby. Definitely a moby or some other wrap. Totally worth the $. We are on #4 but gave away everything baby related a couple of years ago so I feel you on the starting over.

My son is 7 so we're definitely starting over as well.

MY NEED list:

Moby wrap

Breast pump

Bassinet (crib when she's too big for the bassinet)

Hand sanitizer

Diaper bag

Receiving blankets (best burp cloths than burp cloths themselves)

SwaddleMe type swaddler blankets

Swing (papasan cradle swing for us)

Bouncer seat

Carseat head support

shampoo/wash/lotion

Baby mirror for car

Nasal aspirator (Baby Comfy Nose is the best for many reasons)

Diaper bag

(carseat, stroller, diapers, wipes, as you know)

Bags for dirty diapers in the diaper bag

Baby nail clippers and an emery board for the sharp corners

Hand 'mits'

Kitchen scale to weigh diapers (if you breastfeed)

Baby tub (I prefer the ones with the net to hold the newborn up)

Pretty much this. If you do not plan to co sleep all the time or if your baby will have their own room you may want baby monitors.
