I make a menu for the entire month. I have a calendar white board on my fridge. Every 29-31st of each month, I fill out the whole month, write out the grocery lists, figure out how much each week will cost and adjust until it fits safely in our budget. It's been really interesting lately, as I'm making at least 75% of our weekly meals from scratch.

Could you share a sample with us? I love hearing about other people's menus.

Sure! When the baby wakes up (He's snoozing on top of me!) I'll go look at it. I have a TERRIBLE memory, I can't even remember this week's! lol

Here's a sample of one week's Dinners:

White Chicken Lasagna  with artichoke hearts (one of our favorites!)

Ham Steaks with broccoli, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn

Homemade Ravioli (with homemade tomato sauce) and homemade garlic bread

Chicken Marsala with asparagus and mashed potatoes (recipe from one of my fav chefs)

Homemade French onion soup with homemade toasted bread (leftovers are toasted french onion sandwiches, which are to die for!)

Steak with onions and mushrooms (made by my husband, I don't cook steak since he's a master at it!)

Homemade pizza (again with my homemade sauce!) topped with pepperoni and mushrooms

Lunches this week interchange between salads, eggsalad sandwiches and Amish deli cold cut sandwiches.

Breakfasts are usually farm fresh eggs (we always have a ton and with breastfeeding and exercising, I need a lot of protein) or cereal when we're on the go.

I don't even know what I'm making tonight and it's 6pm! Ah! Terrible!
