I know that it's stereotypical that women love chocolate, and while I like it good enough, I much prefer a salty snack. Chips are my weakness, and I've been known to grab handfuls of fishy crackers while making snacks for my kids. Chips and crackers aren't the most low-calorie option, so I will take the extra few minutes to make a better snack for my kids and I:
I drizzle a small amount of melted butter on the popcorn, sprinkle on a bit of salt, and send the kids on their merry way. I will often add some cajun seasoning because I happen to like spicy food.
A friend did a cleanse recently and told me that hot-air popcorn was one of the allowed snacks. She'd gotten into the habit of using microwave popcorn, which is definitely not the healthiest snack to be found. She had forgotten how great hot air popcorn tasted and bonus! It's a healthy snack.
