Cleanses are all of the rage these days, or so it seems. I've heard great success stories and I've heard from people who have thrown in the towel before the cleanse was over. My running partner did a cleanse for five days and quit before it was over because she felt sluggish, was going to bed shortly after her kids, and started looking gaunt (she's very fit and didn't need to lose weight).
I've never had the desire to do a cleanse. I eat healthy -- "cheat night" aside -- and don't see how one would help me. I'm at a healthy weight, so I don't need to jump start my weight loss. I sleep like a log, so that reason's out. I have yet to find a reason to do one, so I haven't.
