I wondered that too when I lived in an apartment complex. It can't be that hard. It wasn't for me.

We have wandering homeless people who know the codes to our gates. If you leave clothes unattended for super long it can disappear. Lol so we don't have that problem.

What are the rules on that sort of thing.  Can you remove their clothes and use the dryer or do you have to wait for them?

The management put up signs urging users to be considerate, most people sit and wait then shoot eye daggers when the people show up. Once I saw someone come over from the office and remove someones stuff to the folding table when was in the washer wet long enough to sour. It sat there a while and was finally tossed when it was never claimed, how can you forget you are doing laundry? Maybe they went to jail.

I would take it out and lay it on a folding table.
