The Venting Booth The Venting Booth

Is this apart of your life?

Does your DH or SO yell at you on a consistant basis (daily or to the part where you avoid conversations because you know they will just get mad at you).  My DH told me that yelling is just a part of life and that I need to get used to it!

Is this something that I just need to get used to?

I wouldn't put up with my husband yelling at me on a daily basis. You don't have to put up with verbal abuse.

NO, you DH's "style" is abusive and should not be tolerated. He is modeling that behavior for your children.

No. We talk every day not yell. Your dh is self absorbed and justifying inapopriate actions.

I couldn't handle it. We're very quiet in our family, VERY. Good luck. If you don't like his behavior, ask him to change.

It's up to you to show people how to treat you.
