It's Time to Green Your Clean!

Traditional cleaning products can contain harmful substances such as hydrochloric acid, chlorine bleach, ammonia and formaldehyde. These chemicals and substances can get into the air, water and soil, affecting not only the environment but our personal health, as well.

Try using environmentally-friendly cleaning products if you don't already. You can make your own cleaning solutions using vinegar, baking soda, and lemons. If you prefer to purchase products, look for cleansers that feature the Design for the Environment (DIE) label. These products meet the green criteria of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Here are some great recipes for homemade cleaning supplies on CafeMom.

We just bought a natural bathroom cleaner, I like it so far. I also use baking soda and vinegar to clean with.

I only use homemade cleaners.  I like to use vinegar, baking soda, castile soap, lemon juice and hydrogen peroxide.  I also add tea tree oil.

That's one thing I have not started using yet...  Although I do make my own laundry soap...

I would love to use natural cleaning products, but don't have a clue where to start or anything.
