Should a person get a new liver if they caused thier liver to be destroyed from drinking and drug. Should they be placed on the same list as people that need livers but are not at fault for them needing new livers?

sure.  they can be put on the list and should be.  They need to stp op drinking in order to get the new liver though.  It isnt a matter of should or shouldnt.  in the end they run tests and if the person is still drinking the liver goes to the next person.

My brother in law has damaged his liver beyond repair with alcohol and drugs and is now trying to get on the transplant list.
I dont think he should get it he only stop drinking because he was bleeding internally to the point of needing blood transfusions. I think he should reap what he has sewn.
