This is the best pie I have ever had. I am honestly shocked that I was the one to make it.

Cozy Cottage Witchery- Where we can all talk about our homes, family, organizing and decorating with our spiritual beliefs mixed in it all.

Back to Basics-Where we can go back in time to old fashioned values with our families and home life. Where today's technology is a privilege and but we know we can get by without it.

Ok, that is just mean. Posting a pic and not the recipe!

It looks like a "classic" chocolate pie. Did you cook the filling without using jello pudding? I make something similar using a very old recipe.

LOL it's actually the jello pudding, i have not been able to find a recipe i like to make one from scratch. i got the recipe off the paper that was in the crust

5-minute- double layer chocolate pie

2 cups cold milk
3 packages (4-serving size) chocolate flavor instant pudding& pie filling
1 tub (12 oz.) frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed, divided
1 ready crust extra serving size pie crust

1) in large bowl beat milk and pudding with wire whisk for 1 minute. (mixture will be very thick) Whisk in half of whipped topping. carefully spread in crust

2) spread remaining whipped topping over top.

3) Garnish as desired. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Could have fooled, me...looks like a classic chocolate pie.

I'll post my recipe in a few hours...it is super easy. All done in one pot. It is a recipe our great-grandmothers would have used.
