About First Time Grandparents Under the Age of 50

I was sitting at my computer when my son (who is 23) called to tell me that he and his girlfriend were going to have a baby. I said "oh my God, you're going to be a dad!" ... then I said "oh my GOD, I'm going to be a GRANDMOTHER"!..... I knew this day would come, and I knew I would probably still be pretty young, since I was only 17 when I had my son, but here I am, 40 years old, building a home-based gourmet candle business, and all of a sudden I am a grandmother! It only took about two seconds for me to get over the initial shock of that G-word, and realize how excited I am. My grand-baby is due in January of 2008 and I can't wait. I formed this group because I'd like to talk to other women who are young Grandma's or soon-to-be young Grandma's to share stories, ask questions and just have someone else who has been there or is going to be. Feel free to join in and tell us all about yourself and your story. I can't wait to meet you!
