Keep a list of gifts! Im known to overbuy so this year i kept a list thruout my shopping so i knew what i needed to get still and who was already taken care of! And it saves me from digging thru the pile of bags in my hiding place to see if i already got something.

Make extra! If you plan to make say six homemade holiday cards for family, make ten, that way if someone unexpected shows up you have one for them too.

This goes for homemade gifts also. Most years i make candy wreaths and it seems every year someone new is complaining they didnt get one so i always try to bring two extra to make sure everyone is happy

Make homemade gifts during the year, don't wait till last minute. Give gift card, purchase online and they will mail it, no problem with lost in the mail. Make list, prioritize. Decide what is most important, and don't sweat the rest.

I try to write down if someone likes something.  That way I have an idea of what to get them when Christmas rolls around.

Short cuts in cooking! lol. Semi-homemade all the way.

Buy some appetizers or desserts, don't feel you have to make everything yourself.
