What happens at your house on New Year's Day? Do you eat any special foods to bring luck in the new year?

We do traditional Southern, Roast Pork (sometimes baked ham) with Hoppin' John (black eyed peas & rice), collard greens, cornbread.

Nothing special here. We will probably stay home, the kiddos have colds and a cold front just came in so in we will stay.

We don't do anything special, we are going to do a roast pork but we are going to see Disney on Ice tomorrow.

We make a big meal and have my in laws over. This year we are way too sick to even get out of bed. I haven't eaten for 3 days and don't care to.

Nothing special here. We sleep in if we can and just hang out. If we have the energy there might be a special breakfast or supper but more often than not it's a leftovers kind of day.
