I called to get an appointment to get proof of pregnancy for insurance.

With my other 6 pregnancies, I had to go in for just a pee test and saw the nurse and then they gave me the result right then and welcome packet.

Today they told me, that I have to come in (anytime) to get the blood test, before being seen by anyone.   Never had a blood test for proof of pregnancy, thought that was weird, the lady said that is how they do it now..

Funny how things change all the time.

How did they do it for you, blood or pee test??

My insurance doesn't require proof of pregnancy. They just start paying their portion

This time it was a blood test, would have been a pee test but Dr didn't think if I was pregnant it might not show up on pre test yet. It was a precaution so I could start provera. Wasn't actually expecting to be pregnant lol.
Have to have an intake appointment with a nurse before they'll allow me to see my midwife though.

Urine test and could just walk in for that, then set up next appointment for bloodtest and visit the midwife.
