So I was right about weight! Baby is estimated to be 8lbs 8ozs. I believe it to be correct because his sister was born at 36 weeks an was 8 lbs 9 ozs. Baby measuring at 40 weeks for size and his belly is measuring a little larger at 41 weeks. Waiting for doc to make the next move. I don't think we should go past 37 now. We are gaining a pound a week and baby is obviously taking on sugar based on his abdomen size. Next Wednesday will be 37. I would prefer to deliver on July 31. So we will see

i would love to go to 40 weeks....but in reality he is just packing on sugar not building healthy fat. Some one mentioned stillbirth in babies of diabetic moms and I hadn't really put much thought into it, but it is a real possibility. We wouldnt even been thinking about an early birth if we hadn't seen the doubt on our doctors face monday.

My first born was Stillborn at 39 weeks and I was gestional diabetic. Actually I have had GD with all 3 of my Babies...living son was 10 lbs at 36.6 weeks and my Daughter 11 lbs @ 38 weeks. Wishing you the best!!
