My name is Tricia and I am due Sept 1st. I had originally  joined the Aug group but had my due date wrong. I am 6 weeks and a few days. I already have three children ages 14, 11, and 3. I am a pretty crunchy mama.

1 mom liked this
Very limited processed foods. We had a midwife last birth was in a birth center but I had some complications and ended up with a epidural. Baby wearing, amber teething, breast fed for 28 months. Baby led weaning, baby led feeding. Made my own baby food and co slept. This baby will be born in a hospital but with a midwife. Hoping for natural this time. Home birth is against the law where we live and I am high risk this time. Extended vaccination schedule. Also almost all vegetarian , sorry posting from my phone so this post is a big run on jumble lol.

I'll start off with this; I do not hate advocate. I've been on both sides of the fences and respect other peoples decisions even if they differ from mine.

I do not consider myself crunchy although everyone else dose. I get called hippie. However I do not like labels unless its "informed parenting" I caan live with that one lol

No tv. Only have phone internet.

I've been breastfeeding five years none stop. My four year old just weaned and just breastfeeding my 10 month old.

My oldest daughter didnt start soilds or other liquids till 15/16 months old. Baby led. My youngest daughter started solids at 7/8 mobths old. We do not make our own baby food as we don't do pured foods. Our children eat what we eat non cut or mashed. We regrow our own food scraps. Our own garden. We drink mountain water as we live on a island mountain.

We are not a fan of chemicals, no vaccines. No chemical body products,(soap deodorant shampoo body butter e.g.) no store bought medications. All natural remedies.

No circumcision. Wrap/sling wearing. Homeschooling/unschooling. Pro life. Cloth diaper/EC. Cosleeping/bathing. Nudist. Live off land herbs. Extended rearfacing carseat.

Into unassisted birth. Natural pregnancy. Hardcore member of the birthing community's (its become a obsession) hubby even made me deactivate facebook for a while because to many people were pming me. Big on breastfeeding. I host breastfeeding challenges, midwives international day celebration e.g.

Hummmm....cant thing of anything else....

Hah, that is awesome, we do what we can, but we live in a big city, we don't even have a good farmers market! We didn't do pureed food either, just started out with small soft foods.  I really want a home birth but it is out of the question here (so stupid!) I was diagnosed with "Tis" stage of cervical cancer so it has changed many things about this one. My older two kids do go to public school and my youngest goes to a montissori pre school. We use many organic products and I like to make a lot of things myself (laundry detergent, deoderent and such). I don't like saying crunchy either but we get called hippies all the time too and I think we are pretty tame on that scale. Love meeting other mama's with the same  mindset though.

Hi, I'm Becki and have 2 other kids and this one is due Sept 9th.  l am interested in the longer schedule!  I did the regular schedule with my daughter, but with my son I have opted out of some and want to do the longer schedule on other things.  Vaccines have changed so much in just the two years between them!  My son had really bad eczema as a baby to the point where he would scratch until he bled :( and he has several food allergies, so I don't know if vaccines had anything to do with it but eczema and allergies dont run in our family so I just have a feeling it may have contributed to it.  Anyways, I just wanted to know what you tell your doctor and how you pick how long and stuff because I am new to that!
