Can someone tell me how to do this?? I want to take paper and shape it like a bow going around a picture. I've tried to find a tutorial about it all day (for some reason I can only find what I am looking for AFTER I have already figured it out! Thanks!

  • I was waiting to see if someone else would answer this since I sort of answered you in my forums, but I'll chime in here in more detail.

Making bows from scratch) or a paper or a ribbon is a kind of complex process, one too detailed to go into here - especially in PSE.  PSE is missing a couple of key tools that I use when I make bows.  I usually start with a ribbon, cut it into pieces, and manipulate those pieces into the shapes I need, then blend them all together.  But in PSE the warp tool is not available.  I know some people use the liquify filter, but it doesn't give you a good look in my opinion.

When you got the paper, hopefully the kit it came with had a bow.  Most do.  Or you can recolor a bow from another kit.  To do that, press CTRL+U to get the Hue/Saturation dialog, and you can adjust the sliders to get the color you want.  As for the wrapping, I'm working on a tutorial that I'll give out during our crop tonight 10pm Eastern at http://www.promos4digiscrappers.com/chat

I'll give out a bow and matching ribbon tonight too, so you'll have what you need to wrap anything!
