CATHOLIC MOMS GROUP GUIDELINES 

 1.    This is a group for supporting, sharing and learning about the Catholic faith.   This is not a debate group.  In the end the teachings of the Catholic Church and the magistarium will be will be upheld, explained and defended.  It’s OK to ask questions about Catholic teachings – what they are or why the church teaches that.  If you want to debate the truth of the Church’s teaching, this is not place. 

 2.    This is not a place for advertising, selling or promoting your business unless you’ve been directly asked to.  You can include brief promotional information in your tag line, but posts made to promote a business will be deleted.  

 3.    If you want to post about a survey or soliciting response from group members for whatever reason (class assignment, writing a book, etc) please get permission from the group owner or administrator before posting. 

 4.    Please remain respectful of each other.  It is OK to differ in opinions but please no attacking a poster.  

 5.    Try not to take everything personally.  In written communications we don’t have non-verbal cues like facial expression, vocal tone or the like.  It can be easy to misunderstand what someone is trying to say.

7.    Watch your language!   Swear words are not allowed and posts containing them may be deleted without notice.   

8.    Please mark ‘sensitive’ topics in the title line.  If you have a delicate topic you want to talk about, please make sure the title is inoffensive and is marked with something like TMI (too much information) so other members know not to open it with younger children looking over our shoulder. 

9.    Anything I consider SPAM will be deleted. 

10.    For your own safety -- don’t give out personal information like your address, e-mail, phone number in a post.  

11. Because the validity of requests cannot be verified, please no soliciting for donations especially for money.

12.  Please be considerate and avoid excessively long signature lines and format the lines correctly so as not to throw off the margins.
