What brought you to this area, or were you born here?

I have noticed a lot of gals on here that have moved her from other areas. Tell us what brought you to this area, and where you are from. If you have lived in this area all you life, what made you stay?

Originally from the Sandusky Ohio area, met a guy when we worked st Cedar Point together, moved to the USVI, then moved to Akron. Why Akron? He was from Stow. And now we are married.

I moved here for a guy also, my now hubby moved to Virginia for a job, and in that time he was there we met, he moved back up here8 months later, we were apart for almost a year so I took the leap and came up here, and love it!

orginally I'm from southern ohio, met my now husband while going to college  @ ashland university. we talked off and on. by the time I was ready to attend grad scool, we started dating for about a year, I got a job in philadelphia, we didn't see each other for about a year and a half, I moved to pittsburgh for another job, we started dating again. then I moved with him up here in 2008 after we got married!

I'm originally from Florida.  Meet my hubby 11 years ago when he came to FL after joining the navy.  We decided to move up here so our kids could grow up with family since mine is so scattered and his is pretty much all in the Canton area we decided to make Canton home as well.

DH had to get a new job and the company that offered what we wanted is in Bedford. We took a leap of faith that this would work out. Aside from the homesickness, it's been good. I haven't had friends in a long time and I feel like I've made some here with the potential for more!

My husband got a job with the Federal government straight out of college. This is where they placed him. Akron was far from ideal at the time, but once we started a family, we appreciated living somewhere so family friendly. Of course all of the great friends we've made aren't too shabby!!! ;)

I'm from sandusky too and moved here because of the hubby :)   He had relatives in sandusky he often visited that I was friends with...so thats how we met.  He lived with me in sandusky for a couple years then dragged me to parma 12 yrs ago.  Very glad he did!

Both my husband and I were born and raised in Wooster, Ohio but in June of 2008 he got transferred to Mogadore and it only made sense to move up here so he didn't have the commute on top of his already long hours. We started our family shortly after moving here.
