No, the main part is only about 2 ft. all the way across. There are lifeguards on duty, clean sand, and a rocky creekbed to catch crayfish and salamanders.
went to pioneer waterland today and thought it was a great family/little kid place. Lots to do! good cheap day trip. baby/toddler swim areas with cute little water slides, paddle boats, 2 areas of playground equipment and tons of little tike/step 2 stuff, go karts, putt putt, lazy river, basketball, water gun type area, and other little game areas, ect ect. Tons of picnic tables...just pack your lunch cooler and claim a table when you get there :) The only thing I found as a negative was the bathrooms are kind of a gross. Just go wearing your bathing suits, don't plan on spending much time in the bathroom/changing area....I just wanted to pee in record time and get out of there, hahaha. Oh, and great lifeguards! Logan walked to deep in one of the kid pools and slipped, lifeguard totally over reacted jumping into save him before hubby could, and they made first aid come over to check him out. Hubby was annoyed by the drama, but I took comfort in it.
