1. Throw a tablespoon of ground flax seeds into dinner at the end or sprinkle on top. This will add tons of fiber and somewhat cleanse your intestines.
2. Eat an apple after each meal. Apples are great cleansers.
3. So are cucumbers. Use them as chips and throw out those potato yuckies!
4. Drink Carrot juice instead of carbonated drinks.
5. Serve your dinner on a smaller plate. You will feel like you are eating more.
6. If you are going out to the movies, zoo, or whatever. Only bring fruit and don't pack extra money for greasy snacks.
7. Same goes with the house. Don't buy it if you can't pronounce the ingredients.
8. If you have to buy meat....Buy a rotisserie chicken at the beginning of the week. Shred all of the meat and store in freezer. This can be used for MANY meals.
9. Go swimming. It won't seem like exercise and its good to get out in the sun.
10. Turn on the radio while you clean the house. It wil encourage you to dance and have fun with it rather than get caught staring at the 6 o clock news. YUCK.
11. Toss some cashews into that stirfry~!
12. Take some deep breaths and freakin relax already!

13. blend/process some carrots and add to spaghetti sauce or meatloaf
14. use ground turkey/chicken instead of ground beef
15. if you don't like the taste of fat-free milk, at least use it in cooking. that goes for other dairy products like sour cream and cheese
16. use applesauce instead of oil in cake mixes, and substitute egg whites for eggs (5 whites for 3 whole eggs)
17. steam veggies instead of boiling (including potatoes), and leave the skins on potatoes
18. cut up green peppers and store in half-cup portions in freezer and mix in with any dish that you can get away with it. also add frozen peas or carrots to anything you can get away w/ adding them to (like skimpy canned soups)
19. half your dinner plate should consist vegetables, and eat them first so you eat less of the meats or starches

23. Add a teaspoon on nutritional yeast to a cup of juice or milk (I add it to a breakfast smoothie), it has tons of protein, fiber, and B-vitamins.

I know.. i didn't know it was bad until i worked at an asian restaurant. They told me why they wouldn't drink while they ate. Also, i found this:
Eating and Drinking Don't Mix

While eating your meal, for the most part, do not drink with it.
This dilutes the stomach acids and digestive enzymes. It is best to drink 20 minutes before your meal - this helps uptake of nutrients and move bowels.
If you feel your mouth is just so darn dry while eating, that is likely due to being:
* stressed while you eat,
* eating in a rush,
* not being aware that you are eating
* secretory glands not functioning well due to drinking during meals [conditioned not to secrete]
If any of those explain you while eating, try to adjust. Your secretory glands will regain proper function once you train yourself not to drink during meals.
If you absolutely cannot avoid drinking during meals then:
* avoid cold drinks
* drink warm to hot teas
* avoid milk during meals
Drinking cold mucousy milk during a meal is like spraying foam on a fire. It totally kills it. The Chinese call your digestive system the triple burner. It burns from below and that fire works its way up properly digesting your foods. Cold milk and beverages douse that fire.
We had a patient come in to the clinic with chronic constipation for years. She was improving but not rapidly. She happened to stop by my website and read information about avoiding drinks and especially cold drinks during meals. Once she changed this, she now goes 2 times a day!
Simple.
