Admitted to hospital **small update**NEW UPDATE 3rd update

James was admitted to the hospital this morning after seeing our 3rd ENT. The second ENT was very helpful and referred us to the one saw this morning. During the exam she noticed James's lips and around his nose was turning blue which is why she admitted us. He does have a very mild tongue and lip tie. Which is actually helping keep his airway open. So that won't get corrected til later. Our ent said if we didn't get admitted trying to get into these specialist could take weeks and she didn't feel comfortable with that after his exam. So we will be here at least 24hrs depending on the results of the scopes

She thinks reflux is playing a part in everything as well. But the pulmonary doctor also head extra sounds in his upper airway and trachea. We haven't seen the GI doc yet either. As of now we have a scope scheduled for 12pm tomorrow.

**update*
Saw the pulmonary doctor. His heart is normal they did see something on the ultrasound but considered it normal and said not to worry about it there also looking at his upper and lower airway and lungs. Saw the GI doc as well we went over the procedures and risk. He's going to biopsy part of the esophagus stomach and lower intestine to make sure there is no inflammation and also do allergy testing. So far still on track for the procedures at 12. Wish us luck

**New Update
So we have a diagnosis with James. He has larnygomalsia and bronchgomalsia. He has reflux and possible allergies. The allergy testing we won't get back for about a week. For now he has to have a GI tube put in and this will give his esophagus and other parts of his upper airway time to heal from dealing with the reflux for so long. When we get sent home he will be on several different medications to help manage everything. He will also have to start pt to break up mucus forming in his chest from the reflux. We also will need a swallow study done. Were hoping to go home late tomorrow but we might need to stay til Saturday. Won't know much til we see how James tolerates his tube feedings

3rd update*
James has had his feeding tube in since yesterday around 3. He's been on a continuous feed until now. They stopped his feeds so they can get their swallow study and GI track xrays to make sure nothing structurally is wrong. I'm still waiting for them to come train me on his new medications and new machines they'll be sending home. Not sure if were going home today or not. I have one doctor telling me it won't be til tomorrow and another saying it depends on how I'm feeling about his tube placements and working his machines. So we shall see
