On America's Test Kitchen, test cooks work on a single recipe for months until it is perfected. The show consists of several regular test cooks (Julia, Bridget, Erica and Becky) who demonstrate the recipes step-by-step. They also test kitchen equipment and taste everything from olive oil and red wine vigegar, to premade cookie dough and white bread. (It is sort of the "Consumer Reports" of the cooking world).
