Dr Appt Update

I had a doctor appointment yesterday when I was 36w5d... or 35w5d according to their office.  The doctor got called out for a delivery again, but I hadn't seen him for a couple of visits (saw the nurse practitioner instead) so I waited around an extra hour to see him.  I had my internal exam (oh yeah, that was fun </sarcasm>), cervix is still closed but it is early yet.

He said he can't quite tell for sure, but he thinks baby may have gone from transverse to breech. That or my little guy is just laying really funny!

Doctor is still leaning towards c-section if I want to stay local because of the fibroid and baby's less than optimal positioning. Natural delivery would have to be with a specialist over an hour away by induction, and only IF baby turned properly.  Natural delivery seems highly unlikely at this point.

If I were 20 years old and looking to have another 5 kids I might be more aggressive in pursuing a natural delivery (since most of the time that is what is best), but what matters most to me is that baby gets here safely.  I will do whatever it takes!  The official call won't be made until my ultrasound which is FINALLY scheduled for next Wednesday!!  I will be 38 or 37 weeks that day; hoping ultrasound settles that in my brain, too, lol. I can't wait!

The only rough part is getting the delivery figured out!  That really is my main stress.

Honestly, I think I have been quite blessed in my pregnancy becuase I didn't have bad morning sickness, no gestational diabetes, no high blood pressure, and I am only 2 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight! (was overweight to begin with which is why that is so good)

Baby has been pretty nice to me; let's just see if he keeps up the good boy act once he is born, lol!
