I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD ANY TIPS FOR MAKING YOUR BABY HAPPY AT BED TIME. MY DAUGHTER JUST GOT HER CASTS OFF LAST WEEK AND SHE ISNT SLEEPING TO GOOD WITH HER SHOES.  WHENS HE HAD HER CASTS ON SHE SLEPT ON HER SIDE BUT NOW I'M NOT SURE IF I CAN DO THAT WITH HER SHOES ON OR NOT.  ANY TIPS OR ADVICE?

I went through this too.  She can sleep on her side, her legs will just be in the air, actually, its pretty funny some of the positions they get themselves into, so take pictures!!  Also we had issues with the shoes getting stuck in the crib rails, so check on them often.  I remember propping her brace on a blanket or small pillow too, and that worked well, and sometimes she would sleep next to me and I'd prop her brace up on me so she could nurse.....hope this helps...

Transistioning from casts to the brace can be a challenging time period. I would let your daughter sleep however she wants to and is comfortable to give her as much time as she needs to adjust to her new shoes! You can lie her on her side, my son sleeps this way often and his legs just stick up in the air, but he doesn't seem to mind! He also loves to tuck his knees up under his tummy and sleep on his stomach this way. I know with a newborn you are "supposed" to lie them on their backs, so you may want to use a sleep positioner to ensure she stays put in one spot! Keep hanging in there, she will adjust soon enough and all will go beautifully!

Well, my son had the same problem, we first tried using a pillow till he was able to support it. Now he is 19 months and sleeps in the craziest positions. It is amazing how they can bend. I think it looks painful sometimes, but once they get used to it you will be surprised. I would do like others said and use a  pillow or blanket so she can lay on her side. Best of Luck

Try rolling up recieving blankets and putting them under her legs. (Which also works great in the carset)And if she still wants to sleep on her side, that is fine.  As long as she is comfortable :)smile mini

Alex was more comfortable in his car seat for a while...eventually he was swinging that bar around and could have slept on his head.
