A mom who is a member on a number of clubfoot support boards has been instrumental in helping to establish a wonderful Ponseti casting unit in a hospital in China. Below is a link to the organization that is helping orphans in China to have their clubfoot treated
with the Ponseti method and they also stay for a while after correction to
ensure they are properly braced and that the correction is maintained. Some of
you may have read Stephanie's blog about her family that includes two adopted sons from China with clubfoot (both were treated in the US in Iowa) and she is in the process of adopting a little girl with clubfoot. She has collected used braces to bring over to the casting unit for the babies at An Orphan's Wish.
If you would like to sponsor a child with a monthly donation, or give a one time
donation in honor of your child (for their birthday for example), I know that
the charity would really appreciate your support.
Here's a link to pictures of some of the children in the clubfoot casting unit
that you can sponsor and more information about the charity:

You might also consider donating to Miracle Feet:
http://www.miraclefeet.org/ another organization that works in conjunction with
Ponseti International to bring treatment to children all over the world. And
there is Ponseti International www.ponseti.info who train the doctors and
medical staff and provide training materials so that the children can be
treated.
So if you have grandparents, friends, relatives etc. who would like to do
something to help kids around the world just like your special little one, you
might tell them about these organizations and also remember that the 2010
Ponseti fundraiser calendar will be available soon.
Have a great day and give all your kids a big hug!
