Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is leah and i am a pet lover. I have had animals my entire life from mice to horses. Right now DH and i have 5 fur babies. One dog (ginger) one hamster (hammie, named by our 3 year old lol) and 3 rats (lokie (low-key) and the other 2 are still awating names as they are new). If i could i would have so many more! in the future when the girls are older if we can afford it then i would like to get another hamset to keep ours company, a parrot, some fish, and maybe another dog or a bunny. We also have 2 human childeren. Alissa, who is almost 4, and Evelynn who is 7 months. I definatly think growing up with pets is benificial to childeren, especially pets that others might find strange (like the rats) because they can be a good source of life lessons not to mention companionship.
