I've been wondering about this show called Degrassi for a while now. I've never seen it, but I have heard people talking about. I know it comes on the channel that shows other children shows such as Drake and Josh, Zoey 101, True Jackson VP, Icarly and others. My two nieces are coming to stay with me and my family for a little while and they really enjoy watching tv, especially the shows I mentioned above. Do you think Degrassi would be appropriate for them watch ? I'm assuming that Degrassi is on the same level as the others that come on that channel ? Does Degrassi have any inappropriate content ?
NOOOO!!! I avoid those other shows you mentioned for 2 reasons. ! I don't want my6 year old daughter to even see the commercials for Degrassi., and 2 ,I worry the show might come on while I am out of the room. I don't even think it's appropriate for teenagers. I am appalled Nick shows something like this for kids. We've never seen it ,but the commercials tell me enough.
Where I live iCarly, Drake and Josh, Big Time Rush, Victorious ... These are all Nick and Nick2. Degrassi: The Next Generation is on TeenNick. My DD loves all those shows, for what ever reason IDK cause she's 3. But she laughs her butt off at iCarly and Big Time Rush. But Every now and then at night I watch TeenNick because they show re-runs or That 70's Show, I see commercials for Degrassi, I would never let my DD watch that crap. Not now and not in 10 years when she's 13 (if that crap is still on TV). Just out of pure boredom, one night an episode of Degrassi come on after that 70's show and I watch about 15 minutes of it. Like Sophiesmom07 said it's all about Who's dating who, who's sleeping with who, who got AIDS. Who got kicked out of school for doing cocaine in the girls bathroom.
Very NOT appropriate for little girls, 3 years old or 10 years old!
