trying to get tv and internet set up for when we move and want to see what has been working for everyone. I know dish and direct tv work but just wondering the quality with the cold and the snow and who does everyone use for internet? Thanks for the info
I have been using GCI cable for internet/tv/phone. To me their website was really confusing to use at first. I had to keep calling customer service for help. My monthly bill seems to be a bit higher than they originally quoted me, but that's probably our fault. The service itself seems to be good though.
GCI, I actually went into the store when we moved in and left that day with all my receivers and had internet and tv set up myself within minutes of getting home. I bought a apple airport to have wireless throughout the house.
Internet was expensive here compared to what I paid everywhere else because it is not unlimited. My friend has unlimited only because it is under her business. So, since I practically live online and my older kids all have laptops and xbox live and I have vonage for phone, we had to go with the biggest and most expensive interenet.
I definitely recommend going into the store. The website was difficult and the lady in the store explained everything way better and was extremely helpful.
Glad to know I am not the only one who's had trouble with their site! It's not user friendly.
my cousin here uses Ace Tekk, better prices! For internet anyway. It is quite a culture shock, My husband does computer and internet security for UAF, he's freaking out because we may not have internet better than dial up at our new house, Ooopps my bad, didn't check that out BEFORE putting an offer on the house!
