We had a guest speaker come to our meeting today to speak to us about an Emergenvcy food pantry set up in our immediate area. So we have decided to make a sign up sheet and have ourmembers sign up to volunteer either by driving food to handicapped or ulderly clients or work directly in the food bank by organizing food and distributing it. Also we are going to be bringing our older ones along so that they can also help and do a little community service.
We have also adpoted 6 families which we call the Angel tree and are getting clothes,food and toys together for them.

our group traditionally adopts two local families...we provide all of the members of the family with items off of their wish list (usually a single mother of mutliple children) and we also provide them with a voucher to a local store for a complete holiday meal...in addition we have always done a toy drive and we also participate in a local no-kill animal shelters food drive as well.
