Many of my members just quit to join MOPS. I know there are moms out there that arent moms of preschoolers and Id like to target them. Any suggestions?

i am a member of both my local moms club chapter and my local mops group...there are several of us that are active in both groups. to this i say that they are very different types of groups and each have very specific goals. i enjoy mops because i enjoy the spiritual aspect of it...i enjoy the couple of hours without my kids every other week...but moms club is truly my social outlet...the place where my kids and i go to have fun and where most of my childs best buddies have been found! so there is no reason why the groups should be competing type of groups...you can do both!
as far as finding new members...my local group puts flyers all over town, in doctors offices, childrens clothing stores, kids gyms, dance schools, you name it. we also have a membership drive every year where we host an event and everyone can bring a non-member friend to visit us...our website also brings in a good deal of interest for us.
good luck!

Hi and thanks for the reply! I so wish it were true that you could do both but that isnt the case here. Or at least with these women. They all made a great production of switching groups and have actually formed its first board. So...
That being said tho I did have some great MOMS Club stuff happen and posted it in my journal. I am going to try putting flyers in the bounce barn and see if that helps!

How we recruit new members is by posting a fee ad in our local gazette, putting up fliers in our local library, grocery store also in churches. We have a October fests that we usually set up a table at and baby bazaars or flea markets. This has been a great way for us to get new members hope this helps:0)
