I would like to cleanse any object I get from a secondhand store, only because I don't know who had it before or what they might have been used for.  Any quick easy cleansing spells I could use?  Thank you!

The quickest easiest and most portable way is to sprinkle it with sea salt. Just a sprinkle, you dont have to make a beach. I use this frequently to great effect.

Thank you!  Do I say anything while I'm doing it?

If you want to. I just focus my intent. When I was working and frequented the second hand shops I carried it in my bag and did it there. Out of sight and say the words in your mind shouldnt be a problem. If you cant do it there its no biggie.

If you have a sage bundle just run "xyz" through the smoke and wala it's cleansed! I do it to EVERYTING. Crystals, tools, my table, boxes, chalices.  ETC.  I dont' have a speacial saying or anything, I just focus my intent on the item needed cleased as I run it through the smoke.

I usually do one of two things(depending on time of the month). One is to light protection or cleansing incense. I make my own but Frankincense works in a pinch and it's in my recipe. I run whatever I'm cleansing through the smoke of said incense, focusing on my intent to cleanse the item and personalize it with my own energy and attune it to myself. Sage works for this, too.

The other is allowing said item to sit on a moonlit ledge or windowsill over night to soak in the moonlight. After it is cleansed and charged with the moon's energies, I hold it in my hand and charge it with my own as well.

I pass everything through the 4 elements and ask a blessing from the lord and lady to release any negativity and to bless the object for the work I do in their honor. I usually use smoke from incense as air, salt as earth the flame of a candle as fire and a sprinkling of my holy water as water..lol...I don't just use this on tools from a second hand store but on EVERY TOOL, and I re-bless and consecrate them before every reuse, even ones I've made - because dust and energy may have settled onto the tools between use.

Putting the object through incense and sprinkling some water with salt in it on. Those are the ones I've used for a long time to cleanse. I also recently heard that you can put some wine or other alcohol onto the item as well.

Run water over it - place it under the faucet. Water is cleansing & purifying and any negative energies are literally washed away and flushed down the drain.
