Hi Ladies!
As some of you already know, I am walking this October in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure in memory of my mother, Anne Forcier Watson, who passed away on May 30, 2006 after battling breast cancer for 5 years.
My fundraising goal is $2,300 (which is the minimum for a walker) but I hope to greatly exceed that goal in order to ensure that there is plenty of funding so that my daughters will never have to go through what my mother did..!
I will be hosting SEVERAL fundraisers this summer, one of which is going to be a wine tasting held at Kingfisher Wine Shop in Woodstock! There will be lots of good wine, good food, and a lot of fun people!!! 100% of the money raised from the entrance fee will go toward my fundraising goal, as well as a percentage of the sales from the evening which Kingfisher has generously agreed to donate! I'm really excited and hope to see lots of you there!!! Please tell your friends, too! The more, the merrier!!!! :)
Here are the details!
Where: Kingfisher Wine Shop 1105 Parkside Ln, Woodstock, GA 30189 (next to Johnny's Pizza)
When: Saturday, July 17, 5pm-8pm
How much: $15/person
Why: to raise money for the Susan G. Komen foundation!
Who: anyone 21 and over is welcome!
I will also be arranging for babysitting, so if you will want to bring your kids to my house to be babysat (by several sitters, don't worry! And I live very close to the shop) please let me know so that I can make sure to have enough sitters here! Babysitting fee will be figured out soon, and a portion of money raised from babysitting will also go toward the fundraising! If you have a teenager who would like to help out with the babysitting please let me know that too :) They WILL be paid! lol
Thanks so much for reading!! See you all there!! :)
