Hello ladies welcome to the Atlanta Metro Mommies! We are a group made up of Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb and Paulding counties. This group is a great location to meet moms in your area that are looking to make new friends. This is also a great location to ask local mothers about things like parks, walking trails, pediatricians, doctors, and anything else you can think of.
Some general things you should know about our group:
Other than the stated CafeMom guidelines the only thing I want to say is that we are a group of Moms looking for other Moms in the area to hang out with and let the kids play.
Main rule, Please respect each other.
We are all different types of people, from different backgrounds and such. We all parent differently and there is no wrong way. Everyone loves a good debate but there is no need for name calling and bashing.
If you have a problem with another mother either report it in the abuse section or leave the group.
We will not tolerate name calling, talking about the mother behind her back, or any other form of disrespect. We are all adults here and there is absolutely no reason for it.
If I catch wind of this type of disrespect you will be deleted from the group immediately. (No warning)
Since this is a local group there needs to be some privacy and "protection" for ourselves and our children. I have set the group to delete people after 30 days of not visiting the group.
There has also been an issue with "lurkers" if you are going to be a member of this group please be active. If you are visiting and have never posted, you will be deleted. We all talk about personal things and want to feel safe.
So make friends, be active and BE RESPECTFUL!
We've been up and running for a while so if you have a question I would search for it first before you ask. you might find the same question that someone has asked a few months ago.

Learning the abbreviations
DD = dear daughter
DS = dear son
DH = dear (darn, etc.) husband
SIL/BIL = Sister/brother in law
MIL/FIL = mother/father in law
MNO = mom's night out
SAHM = Stay At Home Mom
WAHM = Work at home mom
WOHM = Work out of home mom
BTW = by the way
FWIW= for what it's worth
