  • My husband has been accepted to Auburn in the fall into their PhD (Biology) program. We would love for him to go but it also means he will have to move to Alabama and the kids and I will stay here (housing market, too early to sell our house). Unless he gets a graduate teaching assistanship (GTA) we cannot afford to send him. With the GTA comes a tuition break (ALL his tuition is paid for) and a stipend and he still can get student loans (with that he can support the 2 households, with a regular job he cannot support us here and an apartment in Alabama). So, my prayer request is that my husband gets a GTA. They are making their decisions any day now. Please pray that he gets the GTA. Him having that PhD will really help our family in the future, he has worked so hard to get where he is now, I want him to succeed, I don't want him to give up his dream. Please pray for us. Thank you. God Bless!

  • Dear Heavenly Father and Brother Jesus,

I just want to thank you for last weekend at my Cursillo.  What an amazing God you are and to know that Jesus is my brother has been so cool.  I ask for you to help my mother overcome her constant exhaustion for no apparent reason.  I know that she is one of the chosen and she needs you.  She probably doesn't even ask you for help for her personally, since she is in denial and busy praying for everyone else, but I am asking You for her.  I pray for Sisters Theresa and Camille, that they feel more welcomed into our parish and they find happiness here even though their hearts suffer with their families in Zimbabwe.  Thank you for both of them coming into my life.  They are so meek and such blessed examples of Christ in all they do.  Thank you for my dear hubby and thank you for bringing him closer to You and keeping him on Your path.  Bless these women in this Yahoo group and I lift their requests to you as well.  Please help me too. I know I always tell people I will pray for them and I always forget at the end of the day.  When I say, "I'll pray for you", please help me to remember to meditate on them at the end of the day and lift up their requests to You.

  • Hi!

This is twnklsW2snbeams. This, as you know is my first post. I have a lot going on right now at home, so all I can do right now is post a request.

My husband's work is relocating. He works with blueprints and cuts out steel for bridges. For the past few months we were both trying to figure out what GOD wanted us to do...stay where we were, or go. Just last week we both felt like GOD wanted us to relocate with his work instead of staying where we are.

When we told my family our final decision, they weren't happy. Basically, they took it personal- at least my mom and my brother. I think, after my dear husband called them last week, that things have smoothed over...I'm just not sure.

I'm pretty certain that they will want to come down tomorrow. I'm  not sure how they feel about it right now, so I'm not sure what to expect. Not sure if my mom will talk about this move destroying her or not. I understand why she feels this way, but it makes it extremely hard for me. Please pray that my mom's and brother's hearts will be softened.

My headaches haven't been severe, but I am battling off migraines over this. I have two little sunbeams to look after. I'll definitely try to be in touch. Thanks in advance!

    Sincerely,

    Angie

  • I sure will and you keep praying. I am not saying this is what is happening to you, but my  husband went thru that and eventually we knew God was telling us to move. He could not find anything, and so we ended up moving to florida......but just pray and ask God is there another door opening , cause when one door closes, anohter one opens. so start looking for that door, and keep praying and keep having faith. no matter how bad things look, God will provide.

    God bless you

    Julie
