We have had several new people join this group. I want to tell them that we are so glad they have joined and that we are here to help them in any way that we can.   My name is Julie and I started the group. I have six kids and I am married to a Cuban man named Lazaro that has more than his share of testosterone . lol I am also a grandmother of four. I run a daycare out of my home, but we just moved to Fl from Indiana and I have not gotten that started back up yet. I was in college to be a Nurse, and I have also stopped that for now. I love children and I love my Lord . I have a vision that I want to start a teenage ranch for lost teens. I want to get them away from the system and back into God's hands. This dream is still in thinking form so far. lol . I am 40 years old as of December.   I have a few co administrators you can go to for anything as well . Right now three of them are awol.  Tracy (my sister) Elizabeth from Ky and really sweet, and Tammy that we miss as well.  However thank you Jesus I have one that is still sticking with me   Naomi. She can introduce herself. but she is great and will help you out with anything. God Bless You all for taking this step.  God will bless you for it.

ps. I would like to tell you guys to make sure you hit the view all button , once the topics are bumped off the page we are forgetting about them. I also want to tell everyone to take the quiz.......its just for fun. even if you get them all wrong , its ok its just for fun. and I really ask you to participate in the daily reads. We  all need to read our bible a little everyday anyway. I will have the daily reads real real short. It will only take you a few minutes and then you  can answer it and we are going to have to re name it to the weekly read anyway because it takes us all a while to get to everything. God bless You all again and remember we are all here to support and love eachother.

God bless you

Julie

  • Hi! I'm Alexandra, married to Ramon for nearly 24 years. We have 4 kids. The eldest is 22, married, and in med school. We have two high-schoolers and a soon-to-be kindergartner. It's been like raising three sets of kids with the big age gaps. Nice that we nearly always have free babysitters for our little guy.

I became a Christian after meeting Ramon. He was a youth pastor -- LOL! -- and I was a rebel. I gave him fits before and after we were married. He's always been the leader in our marriage and family on the big stuff, but I ran the show. Since reading Love and Respect about 18 months ago, I've been trying to submit myself to his leadership in all things and to show that I respect him. It hasn't been easy, but there have been MANY changes. Our kids have commented on how I listen to and respect their dad now, and friends have commented on how much "in love" we seem to be. We're still in process. Glad to be here to share experiences with other women who desire to submit to their husbands.

    Blessings!

    Alexandra

  • My name is Natalie and I am 23. My husband, Trey, and I are expecting our first child, Cintalanie, to make her world-debut very soon :) I was raised in a Christian home, but strayed for some time. I have found a new faith in the Lord, and am hoping to help my husband find his. He is a fledgling in Christ but I'm hoping we can find our way together and have a peaceful and loving home for our daughter to grow in.  I've decided that letting him be my man by being his woman is the right thing to do, and he agrees. I've been so blessed to have found such a caring provider, that I love more than anyone, and I want to learn to be the wife my family deserves me to be.

  • Hi ladies- I'm Jenni and I'm 30 years old. My husband and I have been married for 2 yrs. He is 40 and is employed in sales. I'm a housewife and part-time freelance writer. We have 15 rescue animals, and are currently trying to conceive our first child. :)

I gave my life to God on October 26, 2005 and have been uneven in my walk. I backslide daily, but DH and I are committed to living our lives for The Lord. I am blessed to have a loving husband who is my best friend. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your group.

  • Hi, my name is Becky and I live in Oregon, my husband and I have three wonderful children and have been married for 9 years now. I am a stay at home mom, my oldest son is 6 and in first grade, my daughter is 4 and my youngest son is 2 years old, they all keep me nice and busy!!! I have never considered myself a submissive wife, until I was watching an episode of Rachel Ray the other day and they were talking about submissive wives and how the trend is growing and more women are going back to the way things used to be. I sat there and watched the video and she talked about how she cleaned the house, cooked all the meals, changed all the diapers and took care of her husband and kids. I sat there for a few minutes looked at my husband said, I already do all that stuff, but the difference between me and her is that I like to have my husband a bit more involved in the house and the kids so they feel comfortable going to him for things as well. I figured that if it worked in the biblical times and up until the 50's then it surely can work today!!! I found a few things that I could focus on more like cleaning house, some days I just feel pooped out and don't want to be bothered, I usually do the flight of the bumblebee before my husband gets home so it looks like I cleaned something. I really need to the learn the fine art of being organized!!! I am looking forwards to meeting some new moms, making some new friends and hopefully getting some great advice and being around other Christian moms is a nice thing as well.
