We have had several new people join this group. I want to tell them that we are so glad they have joined and that we are here to help them in any way that we can.   My name is Julie and I started the group. I have six kids and I am married to a Cuban man named Lazaro that has more than his share of testosterone . lol I am also a grandmother of four. I run a daycare out of my home, but we just moved to Fl from Indiana and I have not gotten that started back up yet. I was in college to be a Nurse, and I have also stopped that for now. I love children and I love my Lord . I have a vision that I want to start a teenage ranch for lost teens. I want to get them away from the system and back into God's hands. This dream is still in thinking form so far. lol . I am 40 years old as of December.   I have a few co administrators you can go to for anything as well . Right now three of them are awol.  Tracy (my sister) Elizabeth from Ky and really sweet, and Tammy that we miss as well.  However thank you Jesus I have one that is still sticking with me   Naomi. She can introduce herself. but she is great and will help you out with anything. God Bless You all for taking this step.  God will bless you for it.

ps. I would like to tell you guys to make sure you hit the view all button , once the topics are bumped off the page we are forgetting about them. I also want to tell everyone to take the quiz.......its just for fun. even if you get them all wrong , its ok its just for fun. and I really ask you to participate in the daily reads. We  all need to read our bible a little everyday anyway. I will have the daily reads real real short. It will only take you a few minutes and then you  can answer it and we are going to have to re name it to the weekly read anyway because it takes us all a while to get to everything. God bless You all again and remember we are all here to support and love eachother.

God bless you

Julie

  • Hi, My name is Shelley. I am 44 years old, and I stay at home. I have been married to my wonderful husband Kenny for 21 years. We have three kids, ages 21-b, 19-b, 16-g. Kenny also has one more boy who is now 4, that we unfortunately hardly see (his mom doesn't want us to), from a relationship he had during a small lapse (an almost end) in our marriage. We became Christian within the last 6 or so years. Reading the Bible a lot has been really eye-opening for me. I grew up with liberal, atheist parents, so you can imagine when I first read, "Wives, submit to your husbands in everything.." I was shocked. But I knew it was the truth. And now our marriage gets better and better. It has been a miracle, just because I have endeavored to leave my controlling self behind and submit to my husband, how our marriage has changed. God is so wonderful. Anyway I saw this group and was so glad to know about other wives who are committed to submit. So many of my friends (all, actually) at my church and in my town do not really take the submit part of the Bible too seriously. I am relieved to find some support. Thanks! Shelley

Hi, I am Kelly, 23 yrs old, married 2.1 yrs and mama to soon to be 1 yr old son.

I am eagerly learning what it means to be a Biblical wife and mama, and for a strong willed person like me with a not so strong willed husband...filling our Biblical roles as husband and wife has been challenge!! He is learning to be a leader and I am learning to submit, and we are both learning how to be Godly parents since neither of us grew up in Godly homes.

  • Hello everyone. I am 22 years old. I will be married four years this Decemeber. Our oldest son will be three right on our anniversary! Our youngest just turned a year old this July, and baby #3 is 18 weeks along! My situation is quite similar to the one posted above me. While my husband and I are both from Christian homes, I have a strong will & independent nature. My husband is more laid back and easy going about things and doesn't take much of a leadership role. Right now he's been stepping into the head of the household nicely and is definitely the leader in our home. However, I would love for him to step up and take the role of the spiritual leader as well. He's so busy with work that he doesn't feel he has the time for anything else. As for myself, I've felt God really working on my heart the past couple years that my attitude needed to change toward how I looked at the term "Submit" in the bible. When my husband and I were first married his parents had just divorced. His mother accused his father of treating her like a slave their whole marriage and ordering her around with no freedoms. So I was given a greatly tainted view of the word "submit" and rebelled against it because of that reason. Now I feel God really calling me to be a Godly wife and mother and specifically calling me to follow Proverbs 31. Someone from another group suggested that I come here for help & support with my change of heart & lifestyle. It really truly has been a fullfilling journey to humble myself in the Lord. I look forward to getting to know everyone here better. Thank you for creating this group.

  • We are so glad you came here. I love how you put that, because it is just that a wonderful  journey. I have went thru so many levels of emotions during this journey. I also was a very strong woman and for the most part I still am, however the change God has brought upon me is very noiciable and very rewarding. The more I submit, the more closer I feel to God. I know now this is about me, and my journey, its not about my husband at all.  God Bless You and welcome to our group. Post any questions or comments you wish to .  Love Julie

    God bless you

  • Hi, I'm Jessica. I have two girls, one is 2 1/2 years old, the other is 7 1/2 months. My husband and I decided within the past year that we were going to commit out lives to Christ (we have always called ourselves Christians, I guess you could say we just didn't take it very seriously, we just both knew we believed in God.) We mutually decided that if we were going to live by God's Word then we had to do it right, so here I am. I've been struggling with submitting to him; I have never had anything agaisnt the idea, but actually putting it into practice is proving to be difficult for me. I joined CafeMom a while ago but never did anything with it. I was trying to find a group like this, didn't know where to look, and thought I would try here. This is so great... people can be so judgemental, it's nice to have somewhere to talk with other like-minded moms! Honestly, finding this group has motivated me to do something with my CafeMom membership... lol.

  • yayyyy that makes us so happy. lol Welcome to our group and please ask any question you would like, and post any  comments or topics you wish. God Bless You and believe me it gets easier and your husband will turn into a different man.  I have seen a complete turn around in my entire marriage. God is never wrong. lol  and how cute a 2 1/2 year old girl and a baby. To me the 2 1/2 year old is a baby. I still baby my 3 1/2 yr old like he is one. lol

    God bless you

  • Hi, I'm Annette and am 48 years old.  I have three boys, 22, 20 and 17. My hubby and I have been married for 24 year.  I have to say I do enjoy this site very much.  To tell you the truth , my hubby found it and said that I should take a look.  He thought I would like it, since I have always believed that being a submissive wife is the right thing to do.  A few years ago I "lost my way" so to speak and our marriage was pretty rocky.  But with a lot of work and prayer we are back on track.  It's great knowing that there are so many others believing that being a submissive wife is God's plan.
