how many children do you have? 1 and she'll be the only child
what are thier ages? She is 2 1/2
How do you raise your kids differently than the world does?We don't use profanity, we don't smoke cigarettes or do drugs obviously and we don't allow anyone around her that does these things either. We take her to church faithfully and she goes to her children's class. We pray with her and for her. We teach her about God and the Bible. We don't allow her to watch certain shows on the tv. She watches her favorites and that is it. We teach her love, patience, kindness, forgiveness, correction, etc. We don't allow her to eat junk food.
If we seen your daughter or son and spent time with them, could we tell that they were from a Christian home? I am not sure only b/c she is only 2 but eventually the answer to this question will be yes.
Do you monitor their tv? if so how? Yes. She only watches her favorite shows that actually teach her things. (Dora, Yo Gabba Gabba, Elmo, Your Baby Can Read Program, etc.) We don't allow her to watch certain shows like Spongebob Squarepants, Fairly Odd Parents, etc.) And we don't let her watch tv all day long either. She gets to watch it some in the mornings and some in the afternoon/evening.
Do you monitor their friends? clothes? what things do you do to keep them pure? She is only 2 so we haven't had to deal with this yet. But we will monitor these things in the future.
Do you and your husband agree in this? if not , how is that handled? We haven't had to deal with this yet either but for the most part I think we agree.
Do you do dedications? or read the bible with them or pray with them?We dedicated her as a baby and she is being raised going to church. She has a toddler Bible book and we read it to her. And we do pray with her and for her.
how many children do you have? *One
what are thier ages? *She's 7 years old
How do you raise your kids differently than the world does? *Anything the world endorses, including a "if it feels good, do it" mentality...is BAD. I am raising my daughter according to sound Biblical doctrine.
If we seen your daughter or son and spent time with them, could we tell that they were from a Christian home? *Yes. Her first question to you would probably be, "Do you love Jesus?" LOL. She asks everyone. She also likes to tell people that she got saved and is a christian.
Do you monitor their tv? *Yes. if so how? * There are no carnal shows/programming allowed. I rarely watch tv, so she isn't subjected to anything of a carnal nature that way..and she is most definitely not allowed to watch anything, or listen to any type of music, that is "worldly".
Do you monitor their friends? *Yes. She is allowed to associate only with children from other christian homes. clothes? *yes. she is not allowed to wear anything that is not modest. what things do you do to keep them pure? *There is no cursing, drinking, and numerous other things allowed in our home.
Do you and your husband agree in this? if not , how is that handled? *Not sure I understand the question, but if you're asking if my husband and I agree on the above, yes, though he does at times watch things on tv that are definitely not edifying or encouraging. When he does that, I take my daughter outside to play, or we do something out of earshot of the tv, so she is not subjected to it.
Do you do dedications? or read the bible with them or pray with them? *I read the bible and pray with my daughter everyday.
how many children do you have? 3
what are thier ages? 3 1/2 years (son), 2yrs (son), & six months (daughter)
How do you raise your kids differently than the world does?Right now since they are so little we try to teach them things they'll comprehend. I read them some Bible stories. Pray with them at bedtome and allow them to thank Jesus for their food. Mostly I try to live a good example before them. They see me pray at ome, lift my hands in worship when I sing praise music, they see me showing love to others, we teach our boys to show love to each other and offer forgiveness freely when they're upset with each other, etc.
If we seen your daughter or son and spent time with them, could we tell that they were from a Christian home? I would hope so just in their actions since they can't talk too clearly yet.
Do you monitor their tv? is so how? Yes. I pretty much only allow them to watch PBS shows during the day or DVDs such as Barney, Elmo, or Thomas the Tank Engine.
Do you monitor their friends? clothes? what things do you do to keep them pure? I do try to monitor their friends and have them associate with kids of our Christian friends. Friends have a huge impact on kids and I want to lay put a good foundation for them in that area and have them make friends at church, church camp, etc. Not really clothes yet but we will be extremely cautious with that especially once they get older,
Do you and your husband agree in this? if not , how is that handled? Yes. We didn't agree at first because some of his friends who have kids our kids ages are not Christians and I do not agree with some of the things they say or how they act around kids. But my husband sees the importance in this now. So we only see those people occassionally.
Do you do dedications? or read the bible with them or pray with them? We dedicated all three of our children to the Lord and made a committment to bring our children up according to God's will and His word. Like I mentioned before...I read Bible stories to them and do pray with them. That will grow as they grow too.
Answering this post is a little difficult for me. Let me explain... We have 2 children a daughter 18 and a son 7. We raised our daughter in church from the time she turned 1. We always raised her differently from the world, even didn't let her watch Disney movies with witch craft in it. We always were careful about what tv she watched, who her friends were, what clothes she wore, everything was always done by the book ( the BIBLE that is) we also taught her mercy and forgiveness and that a personal intimate relationship with Jesus was the most important thing. She was teaching children younger than herself at Sunday school by the time she was about 9yrs old. By 15yrs she was the coordinator of the preschool ministery and supervised 4 adult women teachers. She could and did run the churches sound system, computer system, sang on the worship team, danced on the dance team, went to every youth event, and became a missionary to Nicaragua spending almost 2 months there when she was 16. Approximately 6mo. after she got back she turned 17, hooked up with the wrong people at school, and went haywire. Sex, drugs, drinking, she ran away and got hooked on meth. I couldn't recognize her. Anyway, if you were to speak to her today would you know if she was raised in a Christian household? I don't know, she's been missing again now for 3days. Our son, we raise with all the same Godly standards, being very aware of mistakes from the past and trying not to repeat them. But Gods word will not return void and he said " teach a child in the way he should go and when he grows old he will not depart from it" so we do our best and trust him for the rest!
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation.I will be honored throughout the world.”
Psalm 46:10 ![]()
amen. amen. that is SO RIGHT. SHE WILL COME BACK. SHE WILL PERIOD. and you know what? When she is at those parties, drinking and having sex. I bet she is still saying she believes in God and standing up for some things you have taught her. God has not left her. and like I said , she will come back. In the end maybee she is experienceing this, and will turn it around to help other teens running and drinking . Whatever we are going thru today is our mission for tomorrow. Keep praying.

how many children do you have? We have 4 children. 2 boys and 2 girls.
what are thier ages? Thomas is 11, Anna is 7, Nicholas is 5 and Abigail is 4
How do you raise your kids differently than the world does? We do not condone alot of typical behavior and we shield our children from common cartoons/music/tv shows/etc
If we seen your daughter or son and spent time with them, could we tell that they were from a Christian home? I hope so!
Do you monitor their tv? is so how? YES!!!! They are allowed to watch things that only we approve of.
Do you monitor their friends? clothes? what things do you do to keep them pure? Yes again. I know this will get harder as they get older, but we do not allow sleepovers if we do not know/approve of different parenting styles, etc. The girls are not allowed to dress as you see most little girls dress. No sandals with heels, no short shorts/skirts no slang type t shirts or baggy pants/jeans for the boys, no backwards ball caps, untied shoes, etc. They all wear uniforms for school thankfully!!
Do you and your husband agree in this? if not , how is that handled? Yes, we are totally and completely on the same page.
Do you do dedications? or read the bible with them or pray with them? We read from a children's bible every night before bed.
how many children do you have? 2 girls
what are thier ages? 3, almost 4; 8 weeks
How do you raise your kids differently than the world does?Discipline with love rather than leaving them with no boundaries
If we seen your daughter or son and spent time with them, could we tell that they were from a Christian home? Olivia is particular about things like using the Lords name in vain. She thinks everyone prays before meals and bedtime, but she's three and can really have quite the "tude"
Do you monitor their tv? is so how? not enough- she watches mostly disney channel, but way too much of it.
Do you monitor their friends? clothes? what things do you do to keep them pure? We dont let her wear makeup other than pale nail polishes, even in play. We have been talking a lot lately about what it is to be ladylike because she is Gods princess
Do you and your husband agree in this? if not , how is that handled? we discipline differently. I am more consistent. I am with her more so he pretty much leaves all of this up to me. She watches way more tv when he's home.
Do you do dedications? or read the bible with them or pray with them yes-all of the above
how many children do you have? I have 4 kids
what are thier ages? 14, 11, 6, and 5
How do you raise your kids differently than the world does?We go to church, and not just on Sundays, but every Wednesday and Monday as well.
If we seen your daughter or son and spent time with them, could we tell that they were from a Christian home? I think so. Certainly the older ones are influenced by the world and what they see and hear at school. However, the way they act and conduct themselves is evident that they are different. I've been told by other adults who have spent time with my kids away from me how impressed they are with them. Praise God!!
Do you monitor their tv? is so how? Well, my thoughts are if it's not ok for the kids, it's not ok for me. We don't watch rated "R" movies, we don't read Harry Potter or watch the vampire stuff. Actually, we don't even have cable and watch very little tv at all.
Do you monitor their friends? clothes? what things do you do to keep them pure? Fortuneatly, my kids have chosen very good friends all on their own. There has only been a time or two that I had to intervene, and that was due to family circumstances my child had no knowledge of. It was more the way the parents conducted themselves, and I wouldn't allow my child to be over there. All of my kids have chosen to dress modestly and in good taste, but I do allow room for personal choice. Such as, I allow them to do what ever they want with their hair, shoes, etc. As long as it is modest and not insulting or distasteful. My oldest has a purity ring and he has taken that oath to stay pure.
Do you and your husband agree in this? if not , how is that handled? We do agree for the most part. My husband can use colorful language sometimes and I have caught the kids using such words. We are praying for his deliverance on that....
Do you do dedications? or read the bible with them or pray with them? We pray with our kids every night and read the Bible together every night.
how many children do you have? 4
what are thier ages? 8,6, 3 & 5 Months
How do you raise your kids differently than the world does? I raise them to act like ladies & poilte & honor god no matter what. I don't care if people think I am raising them to be little slaves, I'm not, I;m teaching them what is right. Its their choice if they want to take god's path.
If we seen your daughter or son and spent time with them, could we tell that they were from a Christian home? most definatly. We relate everyday things to Christ.
Do you monitor their tv? is so how? yes, they can watch christian videos i put on for them, thats it.
Do you monitor their friends? clothes? what things do you do to keep them pure? They arent old enough to get into that yet/
Do you and your husband agree in this? if not , how is that handled? We agree on most things 100% if not then I usually go with what he says, he's more of the discipliner than I am.
Do you do dedications? or read the bible with them or pray with them? Yes we do. We read a story a night & then all pray together before bedtime, before we eat & when we have a problem
