Please take a moment to introduce yourself to the group! Tell us a little about yourself, including what freelancing work you have done, your writing goals, and any links to your personal sites or blogs.

My name is Christina and I've been freelancing for almost a year. I recently started as a Buzz Blogger on Prevention and I've met some really great people. I have three children ages 4, 3, and 9 months. I have a Master's degree and was a high school English teacher before I began staying home with my children. I love the fact that freelance writing fits in so well with staying home with my children. I have been married to my husband for 6 years and I think I may have scored the last perfect man out there! I love to cook, read, explore photography, and spend time with my family. I have a personal blog about motherhood at:

My name is Rebecca. Or becca as many of my friends call me. I am 29 years old. My fiance and  I don't currently  have any children.I miscarried in oct 2007. It has has been a rough year and a half for us. I do writing both as a theraptic(spelling) and also for enjoyment. I am hoping to be able to publish my first book.

What is a buzz blogger? I would love to do that as well. I want to be a stay at home mom. I am currently going to college full time online. I am in the process of trying to find a decent work at home job that doesn't require me to get any kits or anything and doesn't require me to put money down.

Hi there... I am Arisa, a disabled single mom of a teenage daughter, and the senior advocate/trainer for the cafemom group Domestic violence survivors: the power of being free. I also do media relations and domestic violence/sexual assault education. (This is my lifes' work and my passion.)I have worked in both print (newspaper) and electronic media (television/radio) and am preparing to get back to work on three book projects that I have lined up waiting for me.  I will be starting back to work on my manuscript(s) in mid October.

When I am not doing all that, I hold numerous state titles in communication and achievement based competition and an elite International lifetime title because of the ground-breaking work I have done in online advocacy. Competing and holding my titles open a lot of doors for networking and educating the public while giving me the opportunity to have a lot of fun in the process.

I am also interested in writing articles for magazines, particularly in my areas of expertice. I will be interested to see how the group progresses, and am anticipating getting to know other writers.

Take care of yourself and Stay Safe,

Arisa

Hello all! My name is Barbara, and I officially launched my freelance writing company this past May. I currently specialize in the healthcare and parenting fields, and I also do ghostwriting on the side. I'm still trying to get my name out there, but I have had a couple of inquiries so that's a plus! My goal with my freelance writing company is to be able to do it full time by 2010 at the latest! Until then, I'm still employed as a patient care coordinator for a physical therapy facility. I also have 2 children (3 and 8), and I'm a novelist. I'm putting the finishing touches on my first novel, and will begin working on my second novel this weekend. I freelance as my career choice, but I write novels to help others. My first novel, entitled Hurricane, is based on domestic violence. My goal with my novels is to take proceeds and donate them to charity. I plan on donating part of my earnings from my first novel to the local domestic violence association in my area. Being a survivor of DV, I feel the need to help others get out of that situation as well. Since I can't reach each and every person affected by it, this is my way of telling them they are not alone. Well, that's my story. I also have a web site for my freelance writing business. Feel free to stop by. www.operation-idea.com.

My name is Ralene and I'm 27 years old.  I have two daughters, 18 mos and 2 1/2 yrs.  They pretty much keep me busy as I am a SAHM!  lol...  My husband is in the military, so sometimes I feel like a single mom, too.  :)

I am just starting as a freelancer.  My main passion is novels--I write Christian suspense/adventure/romance...okay, so it kind of varies from book to book.  lol...  I've finished my first offical novel and sent it off to a major Christian contest.  I am only a few chapters into my next novel, but having just as much fun!

I want to start freelancing to supplement my husband's income.  I don't know a lot about it, and frankly, it scares me more than writing fiction!  *I think I can, I think I can*  I do have my own blog and website.

Hi everyone!

My name is Amanda, I have one daughter, Jayde, who's 6. My "day job" is an Accounting Assistant and well...it's pretty boring! I'd love to be able to write full time one day. I'm just trying to get started freelancing because what I really want to do is be a novelist. However for now I'd love to get into freelancing and hopefully make a little cash and start paying off some debt!

I don't have a site or a blog yet but I'm going to start one!

It's nice to see everyone's story and what they're doing. I can already see that I'm in the company of a stellar group of people!

Hi I'm Mimi.

I'm a SAHM full time with a couple hours a every other week as a Physical Therapist.  I'm just beginning to get into Freelance Writing.  I've got 3 kidlets, 5, 4, 2.  I looking for information, ideas and a group of people to chat with from time to time that are in the same boat.

I've been married for 7 years to a great guy who works very hard and loves his kids.  I look forward to chatting soon!

Getting children ready to leave the house in the morning is like herding cats.  It is next to impossible!!!!

Hi everyone... My name is Melissa Oien and I love to write!  I have four children 12,9,5,3 and another on the way! I also do a family daycare out of my home! I really love children and helping out their parents. I teach Sunday school at our church and am on the Board of Education. I want to get into freelance writing, but I am unsure where to start really. I have a blog on Myspace that my family and friends enjoy reading and I enjoy writing even more! I won lots of little school awards when I was in elementary, middle, and high school. Having kids has sort of put a damper on my dreams though, I write and save and then they just sit in my computer waiting for the day when they can make their debut!  I am writing an piece daily either blogging or just about something that has tickled me that day and saving it during nap time!  My general ideas are parenting issues with a humorous twist! After all you learn to have a sense of humor when your first child is born! Then add a few more and you realize all the silly stuff that happens daily! So if anyone has tips or hints for me or ideas where to start and how to submit, I am needing your help!!

Hey there!  I'm Aubrey.  I am newly married, just as newly pregnant, and bio mom to a 4 year old girl, step mom to another 4 year old girl, and a 2 year old girl!  We have all three of the monsters full time and will be adopting each other's kids shortly.

I just started staying home again, and am looking for tips and tricks to getting back into freelancing!  I started when I was at home with my daughter, but was relatively unsuccessful, mainly because I had no support group.

Hi everyone! I'm April-May. I'm a SAHM to two lovely children. I've been writing for Associated Content since January. I'm hoping to brush up on my skills there so I can eventually write for magazines. I've also been looking into Suite 101. I don't write very often, but I do enjoy the time I get to write.

Hi! I'm Sarah. I'm 28 and have two beautiful girls, Ally and Katy. I've just recently accepted a position to nanny my nephews so, since it's a short-term position, would like to have some additional experience to add to my resume if I have to return to work in a year. I have a BS in Ag Communication, which mainly focused on journalism, but I've dabbled in marketing/advertising as well. I love photography and would like to be able to submit some photos as well to publications, etc.

I look forward to finding some great information about freelance writing/editing/photography through this group since I have no idea where to begin!! :-)
