Child custody battles can be an expensive and emotional undertaking. There are so many nuances with family court, and it can be very confusing when a child is involved. We discuss various problems in custody situations to all who mother (verb--to nurture).

We acknowledge that all forms of the noun "mom" are welcome to join our discussion, as titles are meaningless in this forum. Instead, we do not focus on these nouns as titles, and invite all women who "mother" and have custody issues.

No one with a concern over a child's custody situation should feel irrelevant just because of their title in that child's life. You found this group because you have a custody issue. This is a group, not a courtroom, and regardless of whether you have legal rights to the child, you are welcome here if you "mother" that child.

This includes for biological moms, grandma's, step-moms, foster moms, guardians, etc. You are all welcome here. No one is invisible on this board, and we all matter.

Understand that you may not like all the responses on this forum. The truth is sometimes hard to swallow, but the reason behind the bluntness may make the difference later, i.e., courtrooms.
