My SO and I have been discussing having another child, and so to make a long story short I need to have my IUD removed, I have called the Drs office and the Dr has rescheduled me three different times for deliveries and whatever else she has to do!
Ive heard ALOT of people talking about removing theres on there own and if its a simple task that i can do myself rather then pay 250 to go to a Dr id rather do it that way!
I know you have to grab a hold of the strings and pull it out slowly but my question is that i havent seen anyone talk about is how were they positioned when they removed it, were you laying down, were you standing up, sitting on the toilet, etc.
If you removed your own, please tell me how you did it or which way you found to be the most comfortable or easiest!
We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.
PLEASE do not remove it on your own. I've assisted in hundreds of placements and removals, it is not as simple as you think, yes it is quick but if your strings are coiled up you will not be about to "yank on them" plus this device is in your uterus, so please don't mess with your productive organs, especially sence you want to concieve again :)
