I have had my IUD since June. Since then I feel like I stink down there. I have a amonia smell that gets worse during sex and when it would be time for my period. I have had no other side effects but that. It is embarassing as I am in a new relationship and while we have not been sexually active together I am terrified that when that time comes we are going to fail because of the smell. Anyone else have this issue and if you have any suggestions on dealing with it?

I too feel like I stink down there. Especially since I got the IUD put in. However, I don't have any suggestions. I usually clean myself with Vagisil wash and change underware twice daily! It helps some, but I wish it would help more. I hope you can figure out something to help you. I'm thinking about talking to my OB about it. Because like you said, its embarassing!!

YES!! I had an odor.... what you have is most likely
B.V you'll need antibiotics to treat it. With Mirena l had that smell all the time... as soon as it was removed the odor went away.
