Im leah. I have a 15month old DD. 5weeks after having her i got the Mirena put in. At first all was well, not really any problems or pain going it. Actually i was fine untill about 11months agow. I had symptoms before then, but not like now. My periods stoped in Janurary, and with that came Hell. I have had hair loss sence i had this atrosity put in, and for the past 11months i have had cramps, now so sevear that i sometimes cry. Back pain, hip pain, mood swings, extremely tired, no sex drive really, sore tender breasts, pain when having sex (for me and DH). I tryed to tell my doc that but they incested it couldnt possibly be from the IUD. LIARS!!! So now i am going to go get it out because in the past month my symptoms have gotten worse and i just cant take it any more. I just hope it hasnt done any perminate damage b/c we hope to TTC number2 in the near future. I gotta tell you, i wanna ring the neck of the ass hole who made those nice, promising little comertials that make it all so wonderfull. What a load of bull!

I have been feeling like this also... I am waiting for my OBYGNs office to call me back so I can schedule and ultra sound. I am scared of the outcome. I am sick I have all the warning signs of what could possibly be wrong with this stupid thing. I have thrown up a couple of times, food smells bother me,other smells. everything is heightened and yes i am still bfing no period. I am now having dischangre that is greenish FReakIng out and called my OBYgn they cant get me in till Dec that is just for my pap. the nurse called me back and was trying to get me an ultra sound. I am so scared to go to the dr. I have cramping,tenderness,sharp pain,in my lower abdomen,fainting,urge to have a bm,pain during bms,pain in leg and shoulder,chills fever,vaginal discharge. ... Low sex drive ect ect... depression. I hate this thing I hope to get it out. i was up all night one night throwing up and then the next day was fine the next day after that i had hours of diarrhea next day fine.... Then I threw up again. I am losing weight not gaining went to my reg dr they did nothing for me. Asked if I was anorexic and took a blood test to see if I were anemic that came back normal. I weigh 117lbs almost 5'8 I am sick sick sick all the time. i asked if I could have the IUD checked out and I think it maybe causing some symptoms she said oh they are wonderful we dont like removing them because they are expensive
same problems here! I hate it but can't get it taken out for another 4-6weeks! I had leep done. As far as the painful sex part...that probably means you have an infection...ask your gyn to check for infection, and then they can start you on an antibiotic!!! When I had the leep done they told me that I probably do have an infection...I have had my mirena for about 51/2 months and my hubby and I have only attempted sex 3 times...the last time I was in excruciating pain! I hope this helps you...and maybe your gyn will listen to you. This is a problem when you have the mirena...and it says you should call your gyn!!!!! Best of luck! Keep us posted!
rah forever...once you get it out there is a form of birth control that you can take that only has progesterone in it so that you can still breastfeed! I'm a breastfeeding mom too, and the only reason i got it was because i thought that there was no other form of birth-control out there for me!
thanks, like you saw things went ok at the obygn and the IUD is in place had other tests for othe probs. having LLQ pain still.. I am going to get this thing out in the middle of Dec for my regular pap. GAH I just want to feel normal
