And she has had it since march and isnt likign it all and wants to out. She had set up an appointment with Planned parenthood to get it taken it out and they wouldnt take it out since she wasnt on her period. Now here comes where I am confused and need answers.

  1. why in the world if they knew that was what the appointment was for not tell her that she needs to be on her period to get it removed.
  2. what if she was pregnant? pregnant woman dont get thier periods( i know some may have little bledding but most do not)

now what is she suppose to do hope and pray when she makes this an appointment that she is bleeding. also she wants this thing out i mean there has to be a way to do it with out having to be on your period also i heard with some woman that they end up not getting there period after having the iud for a while. I mean what do they do when a woman doesnt have a period???? any help ladies would be great. I mean i help my girlfriend out any other tiem but this is one things i have yet to try is the iud so her questions i just cant answer for her like i want to.

what kind of iud does she have? i would just tell her to take it out on her own... i had the paraguarg iud in and i hated it... i was a bit intoxicated after a wedding DH and i went to and i was about 5 days away from my period so i knew my cervix was soft... i had dh help me find the strings and pulled it out VERY gently... it didnt hurt ( dont know if this was b/c i had had a few drinks or what) and i didnt bleed....
