clarification....please read and reply that you have read this
Good afternoon ladies. I don't intend to harp on this but apparently I need to clarify something. Since last Tuesday I have had a handfull of posts advertising home based businesses. I have removed all of these posts and emailed the poster and nicely explained that these types of posts are NOT allowed. When emailing I have received a couple of responses. One of the responses said that the poster thought that was what the group was for. One response asked what the purpose of the group was then if it specifically states in the rules that advertising is not allowed. I also had a response that was a tad bit on the rude side. One of the posters that I emailed has posted on a couple of threads asking if the links to job opportunities does not constitute advertising. So needless to say I feel the need to clarify this and ask that you all read this and acknowledge that you have read this by posting a reply of some sort. It can be as simple as one word...It doesn't really matter as long as you acknowledge that you have read this. This gives me more grounds to remove people from the group if they continue to post advertisements. I created this group for the specific purpose of giving us ladies who want to have a job from home a place to network without having to weed through the advertisements for these business opportunities. Again, I have no problem with business opportunies BUT they are not for every family and so because of that this forum is not the proper place for them.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WORK AT HOME JOB AND A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY:
WAHJ - these pay a pre-determined amount for services provided to a company whether it be telemarketing or data entry or transcription. You work as either an employee or an independent contractor for a company and they provide you with either a W-2 or a 1099 tax form at tax time. You are not able to write much if anything off tax wise as far as business expenses (you can write a few things off on occasion). You do not have to invest a start-up cost or schedule parties and do shows of merchandise.
Business Ops - these require an investment of some sort whether it be money up front, money down the line, advertising costs or a great investment of time without guaranteed compensation. You have to do your own networking, setting up parties, selling door to door, etc. You can write off most of your business related expenses (telephone, internet, etc).
IF ANYONE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
It is acceptable to post job opportunities and links to companies that are hiring or are potentially hiring in the future. However it is NOT acceptable to post business opportunities. It is also not acceptable to post saying "I need reps to help set up parties email me at blahblahblah@blahblah.com" If you know of a job opening please post the name of the company, hiring info as far as who to contact/where to apply, how much the job pays per hour if you know about it and any info about benefits.
Please reply that you have read and understand this post. Again, I don't mean to harp but it seems as though this clarification is needed.
That is great, Love it!!
