Hi all!  I'm new to this group, and new to this website.  My daughter was diagnosed with hydrocephalus (extra fluid in her brain) when she was one month old, caused by viral meningitis.  She also has essential thrombocytosis (a high platelet count- the doctor thinks it's familial), for which she's on chronic aspirin therapy.  And she has asthma (controlled with Singulair).  And eczema.  We've been luckily b/c once she got shunted when she was two-months old, we haven't really had any serious problems.
