I have a family size of 8. My second half has been laid off since January. Our electric bill has been increasing by huge numbers. it had become more than we could pay. I couldn't believe a $275 bill in the summer,, no air conditioning. There had to be a mistake. Power company says "No mistake that is what you owe."  We had to do something quick. Well I was raised off the grid,, my dad had built a engery wise house. My man had built solar panels in his early years with his dad. So ,,dah,,a light bulb went off. We had to create and make our own wind turbine, and solar panels in order to live on a lower income. We searched and searched and found ways to make this happen. Not I don't think so.We are a fam. of 8 and we have a huge house.And our Electric bill last month was 115$.

It depends on where your at. We are a family of 5 at the moment and we live in Fl, our electric bill is $350 in Sept. The price you pay for living in cool AC in FL heat.
