Sorry if this is a really dumb question!

If I knit something (a sweater, pants, whatever) with 100% wool, what are the washing instructions?? Will it shrink if I machine-wash it?

If you machine wash it you will have a much smaller piece of felt.  Wool calls for hand washing and laying flat to dry, unless it says it's superwash wool.  I use Eucalan Wool Wash, you don't have to rinse it out and it's made for washing wool.  You can also use your shampoo and conditioner, but you do have to rinse.

Great, thanks!

Is there a website where you get the wool wash, or is it in stores where you buy yarn?

I bought mine at Paradise Fibers, but you could probably get  it at your local yarn shop.

What ever soap you use please DO NOT use Woolite.  It will eat your fiber  over a period of time.
