See what CafeMoms are saying about saving time this holiday season..
Hey ladies- I've joined this group to learn more about different opitions when it comes to birthing my first baby. I'm only 7 weeks and I'm getting so nervous. I have my wife for support and some sisters, but my mother is no longer in my life, nor wants to be, so I can't ask her advice. So I'm picking yalls brains.
- I'm wanting to know, in a water birth, what is the differences compared to other birthing options? I want to know everything.
- What are all the ways you've delivered, and which one was the best in comfort and experience?
-I want to be so strong and do it naturally but I'm so scared of the pain. I don't have a high pain tolerance but I want to push my limits and see how much I can handle. Who has experienced this? How many of you went as long as you could but ended up getting meds for the pain? How did you feel when you did this?
-At the hospitals (I know they're different in every hospital) how "natural" can you go? Can you deliver squatting? Can you call the shots of when to push and when not to? I watched a video of a woman who let her afterbirth come out naturally. She said she breast feed as soon as the baby came out and that helped the afterbirth come out on it's own with no pulling or anything. Anyone know anything about this?
-What's a "labor assistant and a doula?" Why do you need them if you have a partner? And if you do have a partner is it good to have both? What does/should the partner know or learn before going into this?
Ok ladies,,, I think that'll keep you busy for a while. Any other information, or your own experience you wanna put in feel free to. I need any and all help to decide this. Thanks ladies!
